I’ve been taking Methadone for about 5 days, and I want to get off of it. Before the methadone I was taking oxycontins, oxycodones, ect. When I would take the OCs I could take them for as long as I wanted and then just wait 24hrs to take the suboxone. My friend gave me all these methadones for $5 for a 10mg pill which is equal to an OC 20 so it was an incredibly good deal considering OCs go for a $1 a MG. So I bought a bunch, and I really liked the high… but buying them was a pretty stupid mistake…. Anyway, it’s been 5 days and I want to quit all of this, I want to get back on the Suboxone so I don’t get really bad withdrawal from the methadone. Once I’m on the Suboxone I have no problem getting off of it…
But I need to know:
How long do I have to wait before taking the Suboxone so I don’t get sick?
And how long do I have to take the Suboxone for?
When I took the subs after getting off OCs I would only have to wait 3 days before the OCs were out of my system & I could stop taking the suboxone. Methadone have a much longer half life which is why I’m not sure how long I need to wait and how long before they are out of my system.
I’ve done some online research and some people were saying you have to wait 3 days before taking a suboxone?! I don’t think I can do that.. I have to work everyday. I know I screwed up so please don’t leave me mean messages. I had no idea that these pills were so bad, and I have no idea what I was getting myself into… so please help!
