You Visit A Friend In A Drug Rehab Center & They Tell You That …

Yes, and methadone is very dangerous, I am a drug and alcohol; counselor. By not telling you are not helping your friend. and the person with the drugs is not helping anyone either. I have recently in my small town know of two over dose deaths from methadone. Methadone was always until recently used as a matience drug for heroin.

And people who are heroin addicts do get a relief from the withdrawal and it aids in the process of recovery, however, this drug should only be taken as directed by a doctor it can be lethal. And your friend is in a rehab, so obviously there is an addiction issue. And now you are faced with a moral and ethical issue.

I say you need to tell, and if they get upset oh well, they are there for treatment and you can not get better if you are not willing to acknowledge you have a problem and be willing to work at getting it under control and stop using. You may be saving his/her life. Sometimes being a true friend means doing the unpopular are hard things. This seems as though it is one of the hard and unpopular things. If you love your friend, I would deffiently tell, you may be saving their life. Good luck and God bless
